Visiting the Eiffel Tower

When people plan a holiday to visit Paris, France visiting the Eiffel Tower is one of the first things on their bucket list. The Eiffel Tower is one of world’s best known monuments that is amazing, not only during day, but also at night, which makes it is best to visit anytime of the day.

Going To The Top

Going to the top is a big challenge to tourists when visiting the Eiffel Tower, I’m not even kidding when I say you should make 4 to 7 hours available to go to the top. At the top you will see the beautiful and magical view of the city of love.

The Eiffel tower consists of 3 levels: 1st, 2nd and top level. You can choose to go either to the 2nd level or the top level depending on your budget.  You can choose to go to the 1st and 2nd level by either elevator or by stairs. The top floor is by elevator.

If you do plan on going to the top of the Eiffel Tower 1st and 2nd level, using the elevator is more expensive and also the more time consuming than taking the stairs. You’ll have to be wait patiently in line for the elevator. If you’re healthy enough, I’d suggest to take the stairs, which is very cheap and affordable. You’ll also have to wait less in line. Surprisingly it will only take 15-25 minutes to make it to the second floor.

Also it might be better to go on a Sunday to the Eiffel Tower, as most tourists tend to place the Eiffel Tower at the top of their to do list. There are also many other exciting things to do and see in Paris.

If you get around to it, after having visited the Eiffel Tower, you should revisit it when it’s dark, this is probably easiest during winter time.

58 Tour Eiffel Restaurant

The ’58 Tour Eiffel’ is a restaurant located at the 1st level of the Eiffel tower. Its good place to eat for Eiffel Tower visitors. The waiters are well-dressed and the ambiance is good.

The only cons we noticed is as soon as you’ve ordered your food, your entree and main dish will arrive nearly at the exact same time. This is simply unacceptable in any restaurant. Also the quantity and quality of the food is sub par.

Several photographers are also running around in the restaurants to take pictures of you. They charge 25 EUR per picture which is pricey. If you really want a picture, see if it’s appropriate to ask someone else to take a picture of you, or ask a waiter and tip him for the effort.

There are also a lot of restaurants and cafés to eat around the Eiffel Tower.
