Do you want to hang out with your kids and educate them at the same time? Bring them to Manila Zoo that is located at Adriatico St, Malate, Manila Philippines. It is open every Monday to Sunday, including holidays, from 8 AM to 6 PM.
Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden is one of the educational centers where people can learn about the fauna and flora in The Philippines. The Zoo opened on July 25th 1959 and has a land area of 5.5 hectares. It has a population of no less than 500 animals including the indigenous species, crocodiles, mouse deer and Palawan pheasant. There are also different types of birds, reptiles, mammals and many other species. Among all the animals inside the zoo, the elephant is one of the crowd’s favorites, the people can’t stop staring and taking pictures while the care taker feeds and splashes water on it.
Like every other zoo, every cage has labels and description about the animals so you can learn more about them and look closely at them. There is a kid’s zoo that contains some animals that aren’t that harmful for children. There are also photographers that will assist you and take your picture together with the parrots, snake, horse, etc. in a cheaper price. If you want to try the horseback riding, boat riding, buy a souvenir and eat some snack, there all available inside the zoo.
The Entrance Fee of Adults and Children 4ft and above is Php 40 while children below 4ft are Php 20. Manila Residents is Php 20 for adults and Php 10 for children, just present your valid id to have discounted price.
